Artist’s Thoughts: I love dogs and trying to capture their unique expressions and personalities in my work. These are mixed media collages on wood panel, book pages, printed papers, maps, wrapping paper and found objects form the dogs. Backgrounds have a raised texture and are painted in acrylic.

Oh, I love this! The dog’s expression, combined with the smaller portraits of people, including of course a couple of kids on the cheeks and other folks on the ears and muzzle, are so evocative of our human-canine deep, deep bond, love and mutual respect!
