Artist’s Thoughts: First of all, I LOVE dogs. I picked my favorite dog from each AKC category and whimsically put them in what they are known for. For example, the Labrador, being a water dog, is with a rubber ducky. The Basset Hound, known for it’s smelling ability, is sniffing a flower, the lovable Pug is wearing heart shaped glasses, the French Bulldog, with it’s charming personality, is appropriately wearing a beret and fake french mustache. The Australian Cattle dog has its cow stuffy in it’s mouth, the Rottie is wearing it’s Roman Guard helmet, and the playful Bull Terrier is blowing bubbles. So much fun to create and paint. I appreciate the opportunity.
