Artist’s Thoughts:  My niece, who had just got out of the Army, wanted a painting of her Australian Shepherds just like the day that they had experienced. They had been playing in a muddy pond and the smaller dog, Yona, returned with a tobacco can in its mouth. They were wet and muddy and ready to continue playing. These two dogs are her best companions and go everywhere with her.
