It’s another day in the life of the Barkley family (three Golden Retrievers and a Yellow Labrador Retriever) who star in many of Subaru’s car commercials. A little something about two of the dogs who star in these ads:

“Dad” is played by “Auggie,” a purebred Golden Retriever who lives at home on a farm in Canada with 10 other dogs when he’s not making commercials. He loves stuffed animals and can usually be found carrying one around;

“Stevie” is purebred Yellow Labrador Retriever who was adopted out of a Pasadena, California animal shelter. Four years old when she got her big break, Stevie trained for only six months to play the role of “Mom” in the Subaru commercials. She lives with Auggie on the same farm, and her favorite thing to do is play ball with her family who says she’s never met a tennis ball she didn’t like.
