Artist’s Thoughts: My thinking process behind this poster started and progressed with multiple and serious issues to underline to the public. (other than putting into evidence breeds and their names) One: was to alert us people of what incredibly precious and important beings help us to go through life and its difficulties. Two: is that without them many of us would not make it through, sane. Third: is that we should notice and keep in mind that these breeds (the ones I chose in particular) are rapidly diminishing in number and it would be incredibly sad to lose any–of them. Fourth: Our special friends who can’t get infected with the Covid19 are however suffering from the same constrictions and sacrifices that this year and the pandemic are inflicting on us humans; they are therefore absorbing and dealing with huge, intense does of stress and anxiety human- transmitted, daily. These are zoom days for so many, so I wanted with some humor and lightness create the same sharing screen and zoom time for our dogs. An imaginary virtual dog meeting takes the place of dogs’ runs and the playing with each other at dog parks etc. Humor is fundamental however it’s contrasted with a sad reality: a black spot with nobody there The spot is not marking a covid victim but a victim of extinction. Breeds at risk of disappearing. Thank you.

ps: I wanted to underline that I lived my life to now with dogs, in particular rough collies. Now I have three rescued dogs and one of them is blessed with characteristic most humans don’t seem or show to have. I have learned most of my precious personal traits and qualities from my parents, grandparents yes,but also from the dogs I have (and had) the fortune to have.
