On the Monday following the horror of the Orlando massacre, 12 Golden Retrievers arrived in the Florida city to offer comfort the way only a dog can. Sadly, these dog are all too experienced having provided the same solace at the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, and the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting. Read the rest of the story here.

As long as we have troubles and sorrows, we will indeed always be blessed to have the comfort and companionship, indeed the therapeutic benefit of dogs. Many of these LCC Comfort Dogs have their own individual Facebook pages. If you type “Comfort Dogs” in your Facebook search bar they pop up by name. Ladel Comfort Dog, Isaiah Comfort Dog, Kye Comfort Dog, etc. The dogs proved so beneficial after Sandy Hook, that LCC placed one of their Comfort Dogs, Addie Comfort Dog, there permanently at Sandy Hook Elem. School (with trained local handlers), and she is there every school day, just for the kids, teachers, staff, and parents.
