“Here’s Looking at You” Photo Challenge Sponsored by an Anonymous Donor

The unheralded heroes of our photo contests are the people who chose to remain anonymous. They step into the shadows so that the dogs and photos can shine, but their quiet generosity is behind many of the prizes we award. This is such a photo challenge.

The challenge:  This is a reflection-only photo challenge in which the dog can never be seen directly—only as a reflection in something else.  Reflections can be found almost anywhere: in a metal water bowl, a shiny appliance door, a windowpane at night,  a car door, even a chrome kettle. The goal is to use the reflection creatively to reveal the dog’s personality, expression, or activity while composing a visually interesting image around it.  Don’t forget the sign!

The prize:  $100 Chewy gift card
