Artist’s Thoughts: This is a portrait of ‘Luga’ (call name) – Berge de Beauce/Beauceron. He was a service dog, medical alert dog and search dog with live finds. I chose to show children coming into focus to emphasize his search and rescue skills, and his love of children. He was a gentle and caring guardian to all he met.
