Artist’s Thoughts: I wanted to include examples of each of the main categories of dogs recognized by the AKC. The characteristic silhouettes provide a perfect challenge for paper cutting. As a life long dog lover, I appreciate canine fealty, intellect, and personalities. I hope I have conveyed this and more in this composition. The elaborate antique paper used for the letters provides interest and contrast to the black figures.
