And now for something completely different: Everyone loves Guinness World Records, though we cringe when the record is for the world’s “largest,” “heaviest,” or “smallest” dog because size and weight doesn’t always mean “sound.” We can get on board, however, with fun activities that a dog seems to enjoy, and recently, a few records were set:
The fastest time to pop 100 balloons by a dog was set by a Jack Russell Terrier:
This record for the most skips by a dog and a person in one minute using a single rope is shared by a Beagle:
The Parson Russell Terrier below holds the record for the most tricks by a dog in one minute:
The longest Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) ride with a dog included a Labrador Retriever:
A Poodle sets record for fastest 10m on a walking globe by a dog:
The Guinness World Records 2017 edition continues to include the record of a Newfoundland who in 2013 set the record for the fastest time for a dog to retrieve a person from water over a distance of 25 m (the record remains 1 minute 36.812 seconds). Jack the Black vom Muehlrad, and his handler Hans-Joachim Brueckmann, of Germany set the record on the Kaarster See lake in Kaarst.
