“Rocker Fashion Tail” may sound like something associated with a Miley Cyrus or Madonna show, but it is, in fact, the term used to describe a tail like the one seen on the American Water Spaniel. These tails, typically moderate in length and curved like the runners of a rocking chair, are very important to a hunter, retriever and uniquely gifted swimmer like the AWS who uses her tail like a rudder to propel her through water, alter course, and change directions with greater ease than many other breeds.
