Meet “Maru”, an eight-year-old male Shiba Inu who lives in Tokyo. He likely doesn’t care that he has over 2.4 million followers in Japan and abroad, but it’s clear that some folks can’t get enough of insights into Maru’s daily life, from rolling around in the grass to inhaling the fragrance of flowers. Nothing, it seems, it too trivial to share. And, it has paid off.  Maru has an endorsement deal, has been named a tourism ambassador, and last November, had a museum opened that celebrated his, um, Maru-ness.  Read more about Maru here, but first, open an Instagram page for your dog and start posting pictures of him or her.
