National Purebred Dog Day Official Poster for 2022
$35.00
“Origins” by Susan Wehman is the winner of National Purebred Dog Day’s Sixth Annual Fine Art/Poster competition, and is now its official 2022 poster.
“Origins” was chosen by juror, Mr. Dan Sayers, in a highly competitive contest. Of the piece, Mr. Sayers said, “The 2021 winning entry followed the rules (mostly, there’s no Herding breed represented as far as I can tell and the “Australian” Silky Terrier is a Terrier breed with FCI, but it’s an AKC Toy breed, of course) and both the Miscellaneous Class and FSS are represented. Each of the breeds depicted is beautifully rendered in a style that is both captivating and faithful to the breed standard. The appeal here is quite literally “global” and the understated use of color on what seems like parchment gives the work a feeling of antiquity. It is a modern heirloom, really, faithfully representing the heritage, diversity and predictability of the purebred dog.”
Size: 18″ x 24″
Poster will be sent rolled and encased in plastic wrap and shipped in a white wax tube
