The Glen of Imaal Terrier is a hard-working, game terrier of whom it’s said will rarely start a fight, but quite likely to finish one. They are stubborn, which in our view only means that they are intelligent, independent, and have a mind of their own. They are, after all, terriers. They are tough, and can be busy and full of pluck.

The whiskey is distilled by Barrel Hunter, a Canadian company on a mission to create spirits rooted in consumer insights. The distillery operates in Vaughan, Ontario, but Barrel Hunter also partners with distillers and premium winemakers to bring other products from around the world to the Canadian market. The company product description is as follows: The Glen of Imaal is inspired by the small but tough, loyal terriers from the remote and rocky areas of County Wicklow in Ireland. Like the terrier, Glen of Imaal is a versatile whiskey that works perfectly on its own or in a mixed drink, enjoyed best when being shared with your closest friends and family.
*Sláinte” means “health” in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic and is a common toast in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
