An educated dog owner is a powerful ally to a veterinarian, and informing your vet that the antihelix in your dog’s left ear looks swollen and red is more helpful than telling him or her, “You know that bump in a dog’s ear?”
Elsewhere on this site, you’ll find names for the other parts of a dog’s ear seen in this image we found on Pinterest (which we’ll happily credit upon receipt of information) but for now, that “bump” has a name, and it is “antihelix.”
