We all know that look. It’s a stare, really, and its meaning is never mistaken: Don’t forget me. Don’t leave me out. Are you going to eat that all by yourself? Where’s mine?
Expedia did a nice job of incorporating that look in its commercial dubbed “For Everyone” seen while Clarence “Frogman” Henry sings his 1961 R&B classic, “I Don’t Know Why.” We think the Whippet makes the commercial work:
The ad was create by the Wunderman Agency and Razorfish Digital Agency
This is my favorite commercial this year. Its a catchy tune and the dog is wonderful.
We agree! From the spot-on portrayals of everyday inconveniences (don’t you love the scene when the third kid gets into the back seat of the car?), to the observant mom with the kind face, it’s a commercial to which we can relate. The dog’s expression, however, is so perfect!!!
Usually I get tired of a commercial, but this one makes me smile every time.
If comments received are any indication, there isn’t anyone who doesn’t like this ad. We always stop to watch it, and even remember what the commercial is trying to sell!
Love the dog look. Makes me smile every time I see the commercial. Thanks.
I absolutely love the dog in this commercial. What is the breed of the dog?
Hi Linda, the dog you like (you have good taste!) is likely a Whippet. You can learn more about the breed here: https://www.americanwhippetclub.net/
I think it is a Lurcher. Bigger than a whippet Smaller than a greyhound.I know tv screen can alter size perception but I think a whippet is a bit smaller and dainty. Pic is my dog Charley
My favorite commercial. The family’s biracial and each member doing what family’s do. The whippet is gorgeous, looking at the woman with love. A perfect commercial! Song too!
We never tire of watching the commercial, Junelle, and after the Whippet, the family mom “makes” the commercial. She has the best face!
Love that commercial re the dog! Could wAtch it over and over just to see the dog! Now I want one. 🙂
I LOVE this commercial! She is great and the dog is fantastic! I have to stop and run in and watch it when it comes on. The song is wonderful as well.
It’s one of the few commercials that we actually remember the product being sold! We love it, too – and as for that song, it’s on oldie that has never lost its charm. Thanks for writing, Leslie!
Love this advert
Whatever I’m doing I’ll stop and watch this commercial. Love the Mom and am In Love with the Whippet. It’s a face you can’t help but love. Oh, I wish I had that dog!
We’re the same way, Betty. The mom has the best, kindest face, and the Whippet, well, who hasn’t gotten that look from their dog? Fabulous ad!
I have two Italian Greyhounds and when this commercial comes on I stop everything to watch it. I sang the song to my husband for our anniversary at a crowed restaurant and I loved every minute of it.
I love this commercial!
Don’t get a whippet! They’re addictive – I only have two but I sooooo want just one more….
We get that feeling, Alice. A dangerous breed because you can’t have just one…
Grey’s have the same impact! 😁
They do, Ted! How do you get anything done, lol?
One of the rare commercials I like. ‘I don’t why I love it, but I do’. 🤗
LOL, Catherine, we know exactly whey we love this commercial: A realistic portrayal of family life; a female owner who has the best face ever! A great song, and a dog who nails “the look.”
Exactly! You said it right there
❤️
Best commercial I’ve seen in my 74 years… Haha. Congratulations to all involved with its making. All parts.. the sound, the dog, the people mesh together perfectly.
We love it too, Brenda. What a perfect blend.
I love love love this commercial, every time I see that face of his I grin so big I can see my cheeks.
We couldn’t agree more, Sabrina. Every dog owner alive recognizes this look, and what makes the ad even more special is that his mistress in the bathtub also recognizes it and has the most lovely smile on her face. It’s just a fabulous commercial!
And if you love this dog, you can get a very similar, almost identical one by adopting an NGA racing greyhound. We have two and they are the greytest dogs on this earth!
