Back in 2014, we reported on the United Kingdom’s “Working Dogs” stamps that were issued in 2008:

And now, the United States is honoring its own. The first day ceremony of military working dog stamps will be held August 1, 2019 in Omaha Nebraska, the stamps issued as Forever® stamps priced at the First-Class Mail®rate:
The stylized digital illustrations of a Dutch Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd Dog, and Belgian Malinois are in red, white, blue and gold to represent the American flag and patriotism. The art was created by DKNG Studios, a Los Angeles studio with a focus on the music and entertainment industries, along with art director, Greg Breeding, who designed the stamps.
These stamps just might inspire many of us to use snail mail instead of e-mail. It could happen!
You can pre-order the stamps here, and you can also order the first day cover here.
