Last November, Whistling Kite Brewery posted the picture at the left on their Facebook page along with the words,  “Remember our heroes.” That got our attention.  It was a clear nod to the Airedale Terriers used as war dogs during both World Wars, and that a brewery knew this and named an ale after it makes us want to support the brewery.  We’re a little fuzzy about shipping beer across state lines, but perhaps you can find it or request it at your local liquor store. The picture at the right accompanied the only review we could find on the beer, and that particular affectionado proclaimed “Trench Dog” to be “smooth and refreshing.” So there you go.

This is our last post of 2016, and we ask that you be extra careful if you’re going to be driving tonight. Some of our breeds are endangered, and we don’t want their owners to be, as well.  We’ll be back January 2! Happy New Year, everyone, and please stay safe.
