It’s been suggested that all of us will recognize elements of our respective breeds in David Kemp’s creations. We think we notice elements of other people’s breeds in David Kemp’s work (grin), but that aside, we have to hand it to the UK artist for his ingenious way of reusing his old boots into… dogs that he calls “Well, heeled bitches.” He describes his work as “serious fun: serious, because his intention is to tackle our folly and or materialist excesses and fun because he is a master of life-enhancing humour.”
