There are cocktails named after the Bloodhound, Chihuahua, and Pomeranian. Move over pooches, make room for the Great Dane. So named because it’s “just too big for just one recipe,” the Great Dane includes:
- 1 oz aquavit or 2 oz gin
- 1/2 oz cherry brandy
- 1/2 oz orange bitters
- splash of cranberry juice
Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon or lime peel.
