Artist’s Thoughts: This is a watercolor-rendering of an image I took of our Purebred Collie, “Mac” with AKC papers…he is now deceased, but he was a young dog when my reference-photo was taken. He was our first ‘child’ and playmate to our first adopted-daughter, so this is a sentimental image but I always liked it because of its strong-lighting contrasts, which, years-later, attracted me toward it for this painting-reference. I feel it has strong-audience appeal, and could easily be adapted to a poster-layout.
