Terry Bellefleur is a good guy, a kind guy, but his tour of Vietnam left him scarred, claustrophobic, and suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. He’s unstable when forced to interact with other people for too long, and he won’t hesitate to use violence to defend others.  As an outdoorsman, Terry is most comfortable in that environment. He loves to hunt, loves his Catahoula Leopard Dogs, and one of the very few people he talks to with any regularity is Sookie. 

If this sounds familiar to some of you, we bet you’ve read the Sookie Stackhouse Novels, also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris. The series was first published in 2001, and now serves as the source material for the HBO television series, True Blood.

As it happens, Anna Paquin, the actress who plays “Sookie” is the real life owner of a Catahoula Leopard Dog named, “Banjo,” a birthday gift.
