We know what a pain it is to include one of National Purebred Dog Day’s signs in a photo entry. We also know how challenging it can be to figure out where to put that sign in proximity to your purebred dog model – but with this contest, the sign’s message is the challenge.
The Challenge: Your task is to make the message “I ♥ Purebred Dogs” appear in your photo in plain sight, but without using an actual sign. We don’t want to give you actual ideas, but to give you a hint: Do the branches of a tree in the photo form the words? Is the message buzz cut into someone’s hair? Has the message been stitched into a coat? You’ll have to think outside the box on this one, and we look forward to your ideas!

•••• One entry per person; You may enter four different photo challenges. If you enter this one, you may enter three more;
•••• When submitting your photo entry on Facebook, you must indicate the name of this contest, Kathleen Dahmer’s “Hidden Message” Photo Challenge;
•••• Your entry must be for the 2022 contest. Photos submitted from previous years’ contests will be disqualified, and yes, we remember photos from one year to the next;
•••• A purebred dog must be in the photo, along with the message, “I ♥ Purebred Dog,” somewhere in the photo;
•••• No photoshopping, and that includes the required sign. Be creative with how you use it, but our judges must see what you actually shot with your camera;
•••• Many people may help you take your photo, but the prize goes to the person submitting the winning photograph;
•••• Entering this contest implies consent that your photo may be shared on NPDD’s social media platforms, and by Kathleen Dahmer;
