Artist’s Thoughts: I have always painted ‘portraits’ of dogs, trying to capture the feelings they exhibit. Humans like to imagine what they are feeling and thinking when viewing. I used the Bulldogs because they are so unique as a breed, with looks that almost should not be.  I try to find the ’emotions’ of the dogs that humans attach to. Each portrait allows viewers to ‘feel’ as the dog would.
