The China Eye

We rarely fail to notice the remarkable eyes of the dog whose eyes are clear blue and flecked with a white or lighter blue (called China Eye), or a dog with two differently colored eyes, a type of eye pigmentation known as heterochromia iridis, the result of irregular distribution of melanin in a blue iris. It’s commonly seen in dogs with a merle coat color, and a few breeds including the Siberian Husky. It shouldn’t be confused with the “walleye” which is where the iris is free of pigmentation resulting in a white or grayish color.

If your dog has such remarkable eyes, let’s see their picture!
