How important is the AKC PAC?
It has successfully influenced legislation like criminalizing the use of bait dogs in dogfighting, and improving care standards for U.S. government working dogs. By supporting dog-friendly lawmakers, the PAC helps protect our rights to own, breed, and show dogs while promoting fair laws that safeguard responsible ownership and canine welfare. This tremendously important committee collects voluntary contributions from individuals and AKC club members, and uses the funds not only to support candidates who defend dog owners’ rights, but also to strengthen support for reasonable, enforceable laws that protect the welfare of purebred dogs.
We are delighted to welcome the return of the AKC PAC because few groups do as much to influence legislation. It is our honor to highlight how much good the PAC does on our behalf, and to encourage everyone to support them.
The challenge: The love of the purebred dog community for dogs is undeniable, but in this challenge, we want you to capture in a photograph the incredible impact dogs can make. Whether it’s through therapy work, environmental efforts, or other meaningful contributions, your entry should showcase how the dog in your photo has made a real difference—and wow our judges while including the sign as mentioned below!
The Sponsor: The AKC PAC;
The prize: A PAC Logo Cutting Board, Picture Frame, and Leash, image not available as they are special items not advertised by the AKC in its shop
