Artist’s Thoughts: The image of this Swissy bitch cradling her pup evoked for me that tenderness in the whelping box that we rarely get to witness in public media. The comfort experienced by the puppy is evident also from the expression in mom’s eye. It was a private moment in a preservation breeder’s home that really captures the love with which responsibly bred dogs are raised.
