According to the on-line pet community, Packdog.com, “Bella” is the most popular dog name in seven breeds: the Labrador Retriever, Chihuahua, Pit Bull, Corgi, Australian Cattle Dog, French Bulldog, and Bulldog, as well as in 18 states: California, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, and Connecticut. Packdog also lists the 20 most popular dog names in the U.S., and the list not only doesn’t include “traditional” dog names such as, “Fido,” “Spot,” or “King,” it could be mistaken for a roster of school students.
