Legend has it that a pair of Afghan Hounds represented the canine race on Noah’s Ark. When the storm-tossed ark began to toss back and forth forward and aft, it sprang leaks! Noah asked the Afghans to plug the holes with their noses which explains why to this day, dogs have wet noses.
