Clement Freud and Henry, the Bloodhound

He was the grandson of psychoanalyst, Sigmund Freud, and the brother of artist, Lucian Freud. After his family fled to Britain from Nazi Germany, his name was anglicized from Clemens to Clement. He attended British schools and became one of Britain’s first “celebrity chefs.” Later, Clement Freud became a familiar face on TV when Quaker Oats hired him to appear with a Bloodhound named “Henry” (played by several dogs) who shared his trademark “hangdog” expression.
