Painting Details:  Meet the breed events, AKC shows, and National events all showcase endless traits of integrity, passion, and dedication it takes to be a purebred dog breeder. The same hold true for a canine artist. One must understand the breed in order to understand how to approach the create direction of artwork. Purebred breeds are as much a work of art as are pastels, watercolors and oils. Its the perfection of the lines, movement of color, and personality of each breed which creates success. I try to capture the soul of every animal as I work. “Dogbreath” represents the life we all identify when sitting next to our best friend and realizing their spirit is one with us—-take our breath away.

Artist’s Thoughts:  Being a professional canine artist for over 3 decades, I have had the pleasure to work with a variety of dog breeders. My eye has always wondered to the Chinese Crested & Standard Poodle which I find magnificent & unique. One has no hair, and the other too much! Go Figure! My artwork has taken me down the path of connecting to the finest of breeders for both varieties, and I am honored to own a Crested named “”BlingBling”” and my standard Poodle “”Babette”” currently. It’s the obvious intelligence of both breeds combined with the gracefulness of their strut that I am fascinated with. White is the presence of all color, and in my own canine creations the world is an open door of colors. #NPDDArt2017
