Elvis Presley was a known animal lover, and looked after a couple of small dogs, “Woodlawn” and “Muffy Dee,” but he was too poor as a child to have pets of his own. With adulthood and success, he made up for lost time. While serving in the army and stationed in Germany, he had a Poodle named “Champagne,” and gave his beloved mother, Gladys, a Toy Poodle named, “Sweet Pea.” He gifted another Toy Poodle named “Little Bit” to an early girlfriend, Anita Wood, and a Maltese, “Foxhugh” to one of his last girlfriends, Linda Thompson. His wife, Priscilla, was another recipient of a Poodle (“Honey,”) and later, Elvis gave her two pet Great Danes in the 60s, “Snoopy” and Brutus,” Brutus having appeared as “Albert” in the 1968 movie, “Live a Little, Love a Little” (Brutus passed away not long after Elvis & Priscilla divorced). Another of Elvis’ dogs, a Collie named, “Baba,’ appeared with him in the movie, “Paradise, Hawaiian Style.”
