The Bull Terrier is the only registered breed that has triangular eyes, and they go on one of dogdom’s most distinctive “noggins,” egg-shaped faces that slope in the front into a Roman nose. Together, these features give the Bull Terrier it’s “varminty” expression. From the Bull Terrier’s AKC breed standard: Eyes: Should be well sunken and as dark as possible, with a piercing glint and they should be small, triangular and obliquely placed; set near together and high up on the dog’s head.
