Most of us who pass by “junk metal” don’t give it a second thought.Scottish artist, Helen Denerley, not only stops to look at scrap metal, but sees dogs in it.
“Smokie” and “Kipper” are life-sized sighthounds made from bits of farm machinery, implements and other scrap metal found objects. The pieces are available as wonderful additions to a garden, or to be used as public art (each can be yours for $7,387 USD). Sighthounds are living pieces of art that Denerley honors and imitates with found objects.
