Good morning, and before we get onto other things, a quick Happy Boykin Spaniel Day to our Boykin Spaniel friends.  On this day in 1984, Governor Richard W. Riley proclaimed September 1 (the first day of dove hunting season) as Boykin Spaniel Day, this following the endorsement of the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Commission.
