Meet Flynn.
Flynn was the most opinionated Collie that many folks had ever met, and in his old age, he had a definite, “these darn kids” and “get off my lawn” vibe.
Like most of our dogs in their later years, Flynn had more personality in his Collie body than was probably allowable by cosmic law. He would plant his feet every time he passed a Starbucks shop because he wanted his cup of whipped cream. And make no mistake. Flynn could identify a Starbucks shop even if it was one he’d never been to before. He was a serious fan of cake, and if he spotted one sitting on a countertop, his “woof!” demanded a slice. If Flynn couldn’t figure out a job that would get him “paid,” he invented the job description: Retrieve any random object in sight: Notepads, plumbing tools….you name it.
To honor Flynny’s memory, his person, Chelsea, is sponsoring the “Get Off My Lawn” photo challenge.
The challenge: For the “Get Off My Lawn!” Photo Challenge, our judges will be advised to give weight to the most creative (or endearing) interpretation of curmudgeonly impatience with the younger generation, an owner, another pet in the house, the world at large, or just a general unwillingness to share something treasured. Oldsters. They’ve earned it, right?
The prize: $25 Starbucks Card
The Sponsor: Chelsea Bloomberg
