Who wouldn’t want to spend time with an exuberantly lively and amusing red head? Being in the company of a dog often described as a “kid in a dog suit” can only be a “rollicking” good time which is probably why the authors of the Irish Setter breed standard included the word – rollicking – in the description of their breed. It is, to our knowledge, the only breed standard that includes the word to paint a picture of a dog noted for being fun loving, always up for adventure, high spirited, and imbued with a great sense of humor.
