We all know Rin Tin Tin and Lassie, but the very first dog “action hero” was actually another Collie who appeared in the British film, “Rescued by Rover,” in the year 1905. The entire movie that was only 6 ½ minutes long and cost all of $37 to make is regarded as a significant milestone in film history.
