Artist’s Thoughts: I am owned by my pure bred Golden Retriever: Shiloh. She has been a source of comfort and joy for her 10 years, and I am submitting my work to both honor her and bring awareness that dogs are more than “pets”. They are our family. They are an extension of ourselves through their enhanced senses and endurance. We owe them our protection, much as they would give their life to protect us.
