  1. Cute ad. It’s true about Pergo standing up to wear, but my Airedales hate it because it is slippery. I have to put runners and trow rugs all over the place, and because it is so slick, none of the things that are supposed to anchor a rug work during a canine play session. So the runners end up accordioned in the living room on a daily basis. The Sealyham, however, with his low center of gravity, is unconcerned and looks like a cartoon running in place when he tries to make a turn at speed 🙂

    • Excellent point, Linda. There ARE clear products that adhere to flooring that provide traction to pets (we were given some to review and haven’t gotten to it yet), but as you say, runners can work in some circumstances, too. We wince when we see ads that purposefully show dogs rounding a corner at high speed with their legs about to go out from under them, and wonder who thought THAT was a good idea for the dog….
