It’s from a Wetterhoun. We were told by Wetterhoun owners that it’s important to realize that the Wetterhoun coat needs to have a slightly oily feel to it – they are waterdogs, and the natural oils keep water from penetrating to the skin. They shed twice a year (bitches typically following a season), and it’s best to brush the dog only when needed, especially during a shedding period. As an aside, hand spinners have spun Wetterhoun hair with success.
