We’ve been introducing you to some dogs who are “Not Just Another Pretty Face,”  our series on dogs who aren’t just fine examples of their breed, but are also dogs whose achievements underscore their ability to do the job for which their breed was created – and more .

“Laci,” owned by Suzi Wahl has her Grand Championship in the conformation ring, but that was just the beginning of the fun for this Dalmatian as evidenced by the alphabet soup following her name, GCH CH NspirD Dream Weaver Irish Lace RN CA RATN CGC TKA.  Laci trains and competes in agility, but has also titled in lure coursing,  AKC Trick Dog Advanced, and by now, probably has her open (RATO) title in barn hunt. Barn hunt has clearly been one of Laci’s favorite sports, and she definitely demonstrates the instinct that the early Dalmatians had to have to be “ratters” in the barn.

The action shot seen here was taken at the Dalmatian National Specialty in 2017 by Jesse Franks photography where for the first time, the Dalmatian Club of America offered Barn Hunt as a performance event. Laci earned her 2nd Open Leg and High in Class.

The other photo is of Laci with a few ribbons with her personal mascot on her head. She had just earned her novice title (RATN). That photo was taken by her proud owner.
