Just to be clear, we find these ads, we don’t create them, and we only watched this one for the dog.

The ad created by Wieden & Kennedy aired during the 2018 Grammy Awards, and judging by comments found on-line, most viewers were pretty confused by it. Turns out, the confusion was intentional. The spot was a spoof of French fragrance advertising (the scene of French women flinging open shutters in unison was reminiscent of Chanel’s classic 1990’s ad for Égoïste cologne).
