Dog-loving, theatre-going Anglophiles living in Toronto may want to check out a current production running at the beautifully restored Royal Alexandra Theatre. The Audience runs from January 17 – February 26, 2017. The play is described as a “refreshingly candid, voyeuristic look inside the upper echelons of British politics and the unspoken sacrifices it takes to be the Queen of England,” but we’d go just to see the dogs. What play about The Queen would leave out the Corgis?
Three year old littermates, “Butters” and “Hachi,” portray The Queen’s two Corgis. The brothers have been inseparable since birth, and one when “Butters” ran away, “Hachi” followed. They were both found together.
