Reckless Creed

In recent post, we asked you, our readers what you would do with your dogs if you weren’t hampered by time, money, circumstances, etc. A good number of you expressed interest in cadaver dog work, which we find commendable. It’s not easy work, but it gives closure to bereaved families and helps put “bad guys” behind bars.

We thought you might be interested in “Grace,” a feisty, scrappy Jack Russell Terrier (is there any other kind?) a fictional character introduced by author, Alex Kava, in the eleventh Maggie O’Dell novel, Reckless Creed.  The plot involves Ryder Creed, an ex-marine now running a K9 dog business where he trains mostly unwanted dogs as sniffer dogs for anything from drugs to cadavers. The book promises mystery and danger, intrigue and action. If you’ve read the book, we’d love to hear a review from you.

If you’re more inclined towards non-fiction, you might find this Q & A with author, Cat Warren, and National Geographic interesting.
