Back in the day when the German Pinscher-Schnauzer Club was formed in the 1895, Miniature Pinschers were judged either in the arms of their owners, or while lying on exquisite pillows of sumptuous fabric or embroidery. Often called “Reh Pinscher” because of their resemblance to the small roe deer found in Rhineland forest, by any name, the breed was virtually unknown outside of Germany when it was first officially exhibited in Germany at the Stuttgart Dog Show in 1900.
