“Scenes From a Book” Photo Challenge In Memory of Charlee Helms

Charlee Helms was not only a great friend to National Purebred Dog Day, she was a tireless advocate for purebred dogs and the people who owned them. She was taken from us far too soon in 2016, and remains missed by the many people she influenced with her good cheer and helpful ways. Charlee was an avid breeder, shower, groomer, and instructor, but she had a special gift for reaching people new to dogs and the dog fancy.

A wonderful donor who asks to remain anonymous is honoring Charlee’s memory by sponsoring a photo challenge in her name.  Charlee, a voracious reader, would approve of the donor’s choice of themes: “Scenes from a Book.”

The challenge: Your entry should recreate a well known scene from a book using purebred dog(s) as your characters. Our judges should be able to recognize the scene. Please note: If you enter this contest,you may not enter the Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of America’s Fictional Character Photo Challenge;

The prize: Barnes and Noble $50 e-gift card

The Sponsor:  A wonderful anonymous donor
