Grab an image off the internet of any of the aforementioned breeds and with a pencil, add a hook tail in a breed in which it’s a fault, or “white-out” the hook in which it is a breed trait. “Hook.” When it appears in a breed standard, it has to do with a tail.In some breeds, it’s the hallmark of a breed’s silhouette, in others, it’s a fault. Let’s have some fun, but to HAVE fun, we ask that you not sneak a peek or do a word search on the standards (read: no cheating). To make this interesting, we include FSS and MSC breeds, and some of those use the FCI standard. We aren’t without mercy.Know that the word, “hook” does not appear in three AKC groups: sporting, toy, and terrier. Also, only one hound breed mentions the word “hook.” So, off the top of your head (because you don’t cheat), name the breed in which you think “hook” in a tail is good or bad. The answer is in a couple of hours.
