Artist’s Thoughts:  I wanted to paint a dog from each category displaying their traits at working , playing, and resting as a loyal companion. Each dog is bred for its unique traits and characteristics and is unique in itself. Regardless of what breed we have , they will surely work, play and rest on repeat mode. Purebred dogs are selectively bred for specific traits and characteristics that make them well-suited for particular purposes or roles. I wanted to showcase a purebred dog from every category to show the different traits from each group that makes them unique. Herding Dogs assist in the management and movement of livestock. They are intelligent, agile, and have strong herding instincts. Hounds are bred for their keen sense of smell and speed, used for tracking and hunting game. Toy Breeds are bred for their small size, making them suitable for indoor living and companionship. Terriers, originally bred for hunting vermin, they are now popular as energetic and feisty companions and great competitors . Non-Sporting Breeds are a diverse group with various purposes, including companionship and utility. Sporting Dogs are versatile hunters.
