For some dogs, becoming a popular “Dog of Instagram” has lead to commercials, photo shoots for Martha Stewart, a Budweiser Super Bowl promotion, and modeling clothes and accessories for high end designers. Anyone can open an Instagram account, and anyone can take a picture of their dog.  Popularity can be found by creating “a look,” filling a niche,  or taking a picture in a way that no one else has, and needless to say, should success follow, who can’t use a bit of discretionary income, or the chance to donate that income to a favorite charity?  And consider that if a bit of income comes your way, most things associated with the dog can be “expensed,” from veterinarians and dog food, to collars, clothes and dog beds (it’s the cost of running a business).
